I'm a Little Teapot
Nov 03, 2022Join Ms. Elizabeth, Charlotte, Forte and Piano while they share this familiar favorite!
Grab a teapot if you’ve got one.
Listen to this song and a classical listening activity on Episode 33 of our podcast.
How to adapt/extend this activity to make even more fun:
- Sing this song together as you set up a tea party with your child. Let your child take the lead as much as possible, invite stuffed animal friends to join you as you serve pretend or real “tea” and snacks, and enjoy watching your child engage in imaginative play.
- Try singing this song lots of different ways. Sing it forte (or loud), piano (or soft), staccato (short and bouncy), legato (smooth and connected), adagio (slow), or presto (fast).
What your child is learning:
- Gross motor skills
- Spatial awareness
- Musical concept of forte (loud)
- Concept of singing vs. shouting
