How to prepare: Grab your “ribbon wand” or a scarf if you have one.
How to extend/adapt:
- Do some staccato and legato art. Long paint brush strokes are great for legato, and dot markers are fun for staccato, but use your creativity with whatever materials you have.
- Try singing some of your favorite songs with a legato and staccato style.
What your child is learning: Musical concept of staccato and legato, active listening, fine and gross motor skills.
