The Four Seasons: Music and More

Jul 30, 2021

Do you have a preschooler who is creative, curious, and always ready to learn? Are you wondering how to introduce him to valuable subjects such as music, art, poetry, and STEM, without paying an arm and a leg or having to do a crazy amount of planning and preparation? We are so excited to announce our brand new preschool curriculum:

The Four Seasons: Music and More

We’ve teamed up with some amazing educators to provide you with an engaging preschool curriculum in which we explore the four seasons of the year through Music, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), Art and Poetry.

In this online course you will find engaging and interactive video instruction, as well as printables and parent resources, including detailed lesson plans and ideas to extend the learning further beyond the screen.

The music section features a series of videos featuring songs and classical music listening activities that get your child moving, singing, playing simple instruments and using their imaginations.  We also have an incredible “Meet the Instruments” section, which features professional classical musicians introducing their instruments to your child in age appropriate ways with impressive musical examples. Finally, we also provide an audio download of the classical music from the course, so you can listen away from the screen. (Of course, we dive into Vivaldi’s fantastic “The Four Seasons” violin concerto as well as other masterworks!)

In the “STEM” section you’ll find exciting lab activities led by Dr. Eugenia Rojas of Boston STEM Lab. Dr. Rojas uses a unique play- and inquiry-based approach, taking advantage of children's natural curiosity in a fun and intuitive way.

The “Art” section features a series of delightful Art and Art history lessons taught by art historian and museum educator Krisanne Knudsen, which appeal to a variety of learning styles and introduce your little one to great works of art.

In the “Poetry” section you’ll get to explore seasonal poems with published poet Leslie Thomas and her 6-year old daughter Ruby, as they make the poems come alive and excite your imaginations.

These lessons are meant to be experienced by a preschooler and their grownup. Some portions require a very hands-on caregiver, and others can be enjoyed more independently (while their grownup is otherwise occupied). Whatever level of engagement you decide to take with your little one, we know you’ll find joy and satisfaction as you watch them explore and learn, and take part in their education.

Sounds like a ton of great content, right? It really is! And it’s a great deal -- There are options to pay monthly or upfront. Once you’ve paid in full, you get to keep the course for future years to use with younger siblings, or again with your growing learner.
