You do not need to purchase these instruments to enjoy this course. You may have instruments at home, or items around the house that can be a great substitute. In the course we offer alternate activities and ideas on how to be successful with or without the instruments. However, we have planned our songs and activities with the instruments in our set in mind and think they make the perfect accompaniment!

We share classical music in all of our courses. You and your baby will listen and move and engage with classical music in simple but memorable ways. Sometimes we share choreographed movement, imaginative play, and other times simply encourage you to move in natural ways as you listen to great music.
This course is perfect for you whether you know nothing about music, or are a seasoned musician yourself. The activities and songs taught are simple and easy to learn and implement. The curriculum has been thoughtfully planned with musical and developmental goals in mind.
Classical music has many benefits for kids. It boosts concentration and self discipline. It helps develop social skills and listening skills. Exposing children to classical music also will increase their likelihood of enjoying a wider variety of music later in life.
"As an early childhood educator I know how beneficial early musical education is for children, but as a mom of my own two boys, I just didn't have the time or energy to get it going on my own. Clap for Classics gives me the in-home curriculum I've been looking for. It gives me meaningful activities I can do right at home with little to no prep work. I love that it's organized so we can go at our own pace and revisit favorites as often as we like. Finally I am enjoying musical experiences with my little one. My only regret is not having Clap for Classics sooner!"
"Okay! I needed this course in my life like, yesterday! I have a hard time coming up with ideas and my kids lose interest easily, but I WANT to do more music with my younger kids. I'm not giving up on the type of mom I want to be, and tools like this help me so I don't have to figure it out on my own! Thank you!"
"My daughter loves these music classes! Mrs. Nixon is the best and her teaching style suits even the youngest of children to learn, sing, and dance along to music. She also makes it enjoyable for not just the kids, but the parents too!"
"Clap for Classics is more than just a music program—it is a well-rounded, whole child approach to music: from basic music terminology and subtle music theory to masterpieces of the classical composers, Clap for Classics acknowledges the innate desire of children to dance, to sing, and to do both at the same time, without restraint and with unbridled enthusiasm. My daughter was 2.5 when we started, and we have participated in some form of Clap for Classics ever since that first introduction. From classes in person, to using the program’s songs and methods in our homeschool, and now to the Monthly At-Home Music Subscription. Clap for Classics has been a constant in my daughter’s free play life and now in her early music education life. The courses have a consistent rhythm, a breadth of variety, and always include suggestions for extension activities so that the music spills over into other aspects of day to day life. The handmade instruments we’ve just received as subscribers are positively works of art; my daughter loves having the same beautiful drum, rhythm sticks, bells, and ribbon wands as Ms. Elizabeth for music class. My daughter loves this program, and has her very own Bear-lioz, who never misses a class. I am so grateful to Elizabeth and to Kathryn for what they have created here with wisdom, with talent, and with so much love."
